Working to the highest standards
Invest Europe is the guardian of the industry’s professional standards, shaping the principles of ethical behaviour and trust that govern the relationships between private equity managers, their investors and portfolio companies. All Invest Europe members must follow Invest Europe Code of Conduct and are strongly encouraged to adhere to the standards when they join.
The standards are published in Invest Europe Handbook of Professional Standards. The Handbook is used in Invest Europe training courses, which supply first class tuition to practitioners. The Invest Europe Professional Standards Committee, a group made up of both private equity managers and their investors, is responsible for the standards.
Should you have a complaint about an Invest Europe member not complying with the professional standards, please contact us and we will direct your concerns to the Professional Standards Committee.
Invest Europe Handbook of Professional Standards
Invest Europe Handbook of Professional Standards is a demonstration of the association’s commitment to developing and upholding the highest industry standards. Agreed by both our private equity manager and investor members, it is the foundation of Invest Europe Training courses.
The Handbook provides accessible, practical and clear guidance on the principles of governance, transparency and accountability that all Invest Europe members must abide by. Updated every year, it focuses on the relationship between private equity managers and their investors and between managers and the companies they back.
The Handbook covers the revised Invest Europe Investor Reporting Guidelines and the recently updated IPEV Valuation Guidelines. For more information on IPEV-related issues, please click here. The 2015 IPEV Valuation Guidelines are also available here.
