The Invest Europe Professional Standards Committee develops and maintains strong professional conduct guidelines and working practices for the private equity industry in Europe. The Committee's members are drawn from across Invest Europe's membership and make recommendations to the Invest Europe Board of Directors about the strategy, policy and practicalities relating to professional standards, including responsible investment and investor reporting.
The Committee is responsible for Invest Europe’s Handbook of Professional Standards, a regularly-updated publication setting out the principles of transparency, accountability and governance that our members must abide by.
The Committee is supported by the Responsible Investment Roundtable and the Working Group on Accounting Standards, Valuation and Reporting.

The Invest Europe Professional Standards Committee draws extensively on the expertise and knowledge gathered in different Working Groups. It features two sub-Committees of Invest Europe members and experts, each chaired by a Professional Standards Committee member.
The Invest Europe Responsible Investment Roundtable encourages the debate of responsible investment practices and ESG issues in European private equity. In light of the increasing focus on sustainable finance in European policymaking, it also plays an ever more important role in supporting Invest Europe’s political advocacy work by providing input for public consultation responses and giving expert advice on (new or revised) legislative measures.
The Working Group on Accounting Standards, Valuation and Reporting is the leading group behind the development and regular updating of the Invest Europe Investor Reporting Guidelines. In addition, it serves as an expert panel providing advice and answers to member requests and queries about accounting standards, reporting and valuation.
