Invest Europe response to ESMA consultation on funds' names

In this response, we express serious concerns about the introduction of the proposed guidelines on funds’ names, which we believe amounts to rulemaking which is not within the powers of ESMA. Should ESMA nonetheless introduce guidelines, we urge ESMA inter alia to include more elaborate grandfathering and transitional relief and to delete the suggested minimum safeguards.
