Invest Week 2016 Launches on 28 November in Brussels

Invest Europe, the association representing Europe’s private equity, venture capital and infrastructure sectors and their investors, has joined forces with EU policy-focused organisations and policymakers to launch Invest Week, a series of events focused on the European investment and growth agenda.

Launching on Monday 28 November 2016 in Brussels, Belgium, Invest Week aims to support the European institutions in delivering an Investment Plan for Europe, by providing a forum for the investment industry, public investment agencies, corporate investors, entrepreneurs and employee organisations to meet with policymakers and explore a positive agenda focused on Europe’s economic future.

Invest Week will provide a major platform for attracting investors and investment bodies from outside of Europe, promoting the strength of the world’s largest economic area as an investment destination.

The event, which comes as European policymakers commit to making increased investment a top priority, is supported by Long-Term Investment and Reindustrialisation Intergroup of the European Parlimament, INREV, AmChamEU, FESE, EFAMA, Insurance Europe, Pensions Europe, Channel Islands Brussels Office, FEE, City of London Corporation, Eurosif, afme, EUROCHAMBRES, EuropeanIssuers, ICAEW and Better Finance.

Confirmed speakers currently include Jyrki Katainen, Vice President of the European Commission & Commissioner for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, Joseph P. Quinlan, Managing Director & Chief Market Strategist at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and Burkhard Balz MEP.
