On Thursday 25 May, at the EIB lunch dialogue, Marjut Falkstedt, the new Chief Executive of the European Investment Fund (EIF), was joined by Eric de Montgolfier, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Europe, to discuss the VC and scale-up funding gap. After a warm opening remarks from Kim Jorgensen, Permanent Representative of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Brussels, Marjut addressed challenges and opportunities for the EIF, including the vital role of women in venture capital, and the prospects of the European Tech Champions Initiative.
