EQT’s science-based targets have been the firm’s flagship climate initiative during the last 18 months and are holistically addressing climate efforts across the firm. These targets have helped mobilize the firm and its stakeholders around one joint climate action agenda and are a key value-creation lever in investments across EQT’s portfolio.

Looking ahead to 2030, EQT is committing to:

Absolute reduction targets for EQT AB’s scope 1 and 2 emissions,
Absolute reduction targets on EQT’s scope 3 (business travel) emissions,
Having 100% of applicable portfolio companies set their own science-based targets, and
Emission intensity reductions in EQT Real Estate funds.

Achieving the ambitious targets will require significant effort across the firm, so strong emphasis has been put on providing the EQT teams and portfolio company staff with the right capabilities, tools and advisors.
