Numab Therapeutics is a biotechnology company based in Horgen, Switzerland. Forbion invested in Numab Therapeutics in the company’s Series C financing in May 2021. With Forbion’s support, Numab has successfully advanced a pipeline of multi-specific antibody-based therapies for inflammation and cancer, and been able to progress several of these programs into clinical testing in patients.
In May 2024, Johnson & Johnson acquired the global rights to Numab's lead molecule NM26 for USD 1.25 billion through the acquisition of Yellow Jersey Therapeutics, a subsidiary company spun out of Numab, holding the rights to NM26. NM26 is a Phase 2-ready bispecific molecule simultaneously modulating two central and clinically validated pathways in atopic dermatitis, which holds promise to transform the standard of care for this debilitating skin condition. In addition, NM26 may also have broader utility in other inflammatory diseases.
The transaction of NM26 with Johnson & Johnson validates the power of Numab’s discovery and engineering platform and its potential to bring multiple novel multi-specific antibodies to large, underserved patient populations.
