Listed private equity has been around for decades. The vehicles have proven track records.

My name is Alan G. I'm a senior investment director in the Patria global private market solutions team and I'm the lead portfolio manager for

Patria private equity trust and I have been for the last 6 years. Patria as a whole is a listed asset manager in the private market space. It's listed in the US on the NASDAQ and has a heritage in Latin America. It's headquartered in Brazil. We also manage the Patria Private Equity Trust which is listed on the the London Stock Exchange. The trust has been around since 2001.

So it's 24 years old this year and it's been really about providing access to private equity to investors of all types and sizes from individuals to families to to wealth managers to institutions. It's about democratizing this asset class and opening up for all listed private equity has been around for decades. The vehicles have proven track records.

Yet, strangely, it's somewhat a hidden gem. And I would love for more individuals to be aware of this product product and invest in this product. So, our trust over the last 10 years has delivered close to 15 annualized NAV total return, 11 annualized since inception in 2001. And there are many trusts that are similar to ours that have delivered performance over a long period of time.

But in addition, it diversifies a portfolio. You're getting access to private businesses that otherwise would be quite hard to access. So it brings that diversification as well relative to the more traditional asset classes like listed equity.

It's also been great to have the support of Invest Europe over the last few years through the listed private equity roundt which essentially brings managers of all the different listed private equity vehicles together and collaborate as an industry to try and promote this part of the private equity market.
