Inflazome

Inflazome is a leader in the discovery of drugs to target a wide range of inflammatory diseases, including asthma, Alzheimer’s, inflammatory bowel disease, and Parkinson’s.

The Dublin-based company set out to fast-track treatments by pursuing a lean business model with a small pool of venture capital investors. In a short timeframe, Inflazome was able to achieve positive early-stage clinical testing results for its oral medicines that target inflammasomes, the proteins the drive many debilitating inflammatory conditions. Inflazome was acquired by Roche in 2020 for an upfront payment of €380 million, with future payments contingent on achieving milestones.
