In this industry you can be very successful and it's not necessarily only your intellectual capabilities it is mainly driven by how you relate to others how you listen to others how you interact with them how much you understand what they're telling you what they're trying to tell you and also how clear you are when you respond because doing deals and that's what this IND is about doing deals is all about doing what can be done so you need to figure out what can be done.

The private equity and major capital industry is an engine and it's an engine for growth and I and I think if I look back the last 30 years I can say that in some areas of development this industry has played a major role for example in life sciences and in healthcare which is what we have been doing at at our company and we are now doing it in other parts of the world. So being a growth engine to me always has meant a lot because I take pride in investing in companies that grow that today are 10 people and in two years are 500 people I think that is a major incentive for all of us in our industry.

Focus a little bit on what many people have defined as overriding overarching objectives and I think the one place I would go is the 17 SDGs the United Nations sustainable development goals there's a lot in there in terms of Technology development in health care job creation fairness elimination of poverty I think we should focus on that because governments obviously need a lot of support in achieving those objectives and the private equity in venture capital industry can be a major motor for that.
