Today our reach stretches far beyond Europe’s borders, with our members based in 57 countries worldwide. Together they manage 70% of the European private equity and venture capital industry €846 billion of assets under management, and support millions of jobs directly and indirectly across Europe and globally.

To be Private Equity is really about building companies it's about building a future for our society by having a strong group of companies in Europe that build its economy the industry has taught me two things one it's always about the people you invest with the people who leave the company whatever its size and two it's all about the perspective and the plans and the ambitions you have for the company.

Invest Europe's reason to exist is to ensure that the industry has a license to operate our mission is to speak as one and to convey to Europeans what our industry achieves the value we create but it's also the only place where we can come together to exchange ideas and debate needs we exist to challenge our members and for our members to continue to challenge us.

Private Capital firm's success is built on their portfolio company's success and to the extent these companies succeed Europe prospers private capital is sought after by longterm investors to deliver superior performance leading to better pensions and better returns for Europeans.

The world of today is going through many crises and our industry's role is to finance the solutions to get out of them our industry has always been about shaping a better tomorrow even under the most difficult circumstances we invest defend and grow portfolio companies and the people they employ.
