What's not so well known perhaps is a strong performance of European venture capital in the 10 years leading up to 2023 European Venture Capital performed with an IRR of close to 21 outperforming our peers.

My name is Ingrid Teigland Akay, I'm founder and managing partner of Haldea Ventures which is a European life science Venture Capital firm. My background is as a medical doctor .I used to work with patients in hospital before and for me I'm really passionate about medical Innovation.

wWen we manage to get a new product on the market for patients we can in one go helps thousands of patients private and Venture Capital provides essential sources of capital for Innovation startups and high growth companies.

Venture Capital also provides not only Capital but also expertise that helps startup companies grow faster successful startup companies can come multinationals that thousands of jobs across Europe and globally. Europe is a global leader when it comes to several key areas within Innovation including biotech Europe is also a global leader when it comes to impact and sustainable Finance what's not so well known perhaps is a strong performance of European venture capital in the 10 years leading up to 2023 European Venture Capital performed with an irr of close to 21 outperforming our us peers and highlighting our ability to create world class startups Europe has a long tradition of world class universities and world class science and now we have the opportunity to transform this science into new medical products that can help millions of people around the world.
